We breed Labradors because we have a passion for bird hunting and great family dogs. Our priorities are the dogs' health, temperament and working ability. We do not breed for color specifically - our main concern is having well socialized, birdy, healthy dogs that will be a joy to their new owners for many years to come.
We strongly encourage anyone looking for a puppy to research it thoroughly - there are some great links on our site to help with finding a breeder, a litter that would suit your family, health clearances to look for; and to use local resources such as your own veterinarian. There is nothing objective about a squirming bundle of puppy in your hands. Do your homework first.
Once you have looked at all your options and decided that one of our pups would suit you, we welcome you to call so we can talk to you - we will ask you just as many questions as you will ask us! While we breed for field ability, we have placed many dogs in non-hunting homes where they are beloved as family members. We use the Volhard Puppy Test as a tool to help us place the right puppy into the right home.
Our puppies are raised in the home and exposed to kids, birds, family life and water. They are microchipped, have all vaccinations and their dewclaws are removed. All AKC registration papers are provided. Our puppies are guaranteed to be healthy and free of genetic displasia for 24 months (see our Contract).
